Building firm goes for BT e-Business Manager

One of Northern Ireland’s leading construction companies has signed up for BT’s market-leading e-Business Manager package.

Heron Bros Ltd, based in Magherafelt, had been looking for a system that would help them to manage projects, increase profitability, help to deliver jobs on time and reduce costs along the way.

What’s more, the firm needed a system that could be deployed across various locations. No easy task...but BT’s e-BM solution hasn’t just been implemented. It is also delivering results for the construction and civil engineering firm.

Heron Bros opted for Project Manager & Document Manager e-BM packages, and is also looking closely at broadband the possible use of handhelds for project management staff.

"We needed a solution that offered clients and employees access even when travelling. We wanted one that would be easy to implement and easy to use, and cost was also an important factor," says Noel Mullan of Heron Bros.

After a rapid implementation process, the firm handled staff training internally and was able to start using the system without any customization. And, already, results include reduced administration time, improved communications & audit trail and a better control of projects.
